Software support and development for jet engine test bay systems

Many airlines and aircraft maintenance support organisations operate jet engine test cells where engines can be removed from aircraft and run under test conditions.

The test cells are equipped with many sensors which conect to the engine under test in order to monitor a large number of parameters such as temperatures, pressures, flows etc in real time.

The computers which monitor, display and store these large amounts of data must be capable of accepting information from the many sensors simultaneously. They also run software tailored to the exact specifications of each engine type under test.

Over the past ten years, Veryan has worked closely with a small number of these test cell operators, developing new software as and when new engines types are to be tested.
