VERYAN PLUS

Veryan Plus is a secure web site that can be shared by any number of work based learning organisers wishing to share health and safety visit information on-line.

Any organisation hosting a young person for work related learning (WRL) must be health and safety approved. In many areas, especially dense metropolitan districts, it is not uncommon for several WRL organisers to send young people to the same employers. For these organisers to make separate health and safety checks would lead to duplcated effort and be wasteful of time and expense for both the organiser and the employer.

Veryan's Plus system holds up to date health and safety check information for each of the participating organisers or agencies. Before a check is due to be carried out an organiser can check to see if another partner has performed a health and safety check on an organisation with the same post code or telephone number. If a current check is found, an email can be sent from Veryan Plus requesting full details of the check.

• The system can be searched for specific companies but can not be "trawled" for companies about which the searcher does not already have some information.
• Only subscribing partners can access the system.
• Separate copies of Veryan Plus can be set up for any group of subscribing partners to share just their own information.
• Preventing one unneccessary health and safety visit each week will more than pay for the cost of the Veryan Plus system.
