Ascent is a Connexions service management system.

Veryan Ascent is used by Herts Careers Services (JCS) as a cross-county wide-area application. This is achieved using a SQL engine and Citrix thin clients. The system already acheives a high degree of CCIS compliance and will be fully compliant well in advance of the April 2004 deadline.

In addition to providing core Connexions management functions, Veryan Ascent also integrates many of HCS's other information management requirements. The system's Provider file is also shared with a wide-area version of the Veryan WorkPlace system which is used to manage Hertfordshire's work related learning and education business (B2E) activities.
